Things to consider about this recipe:
- Assorted nuts contain monounsaturated fats that can lower cholesterol levels as well as omega-3 fatty acids that can protect against inflammation. They can also assist in keeping your digestive system healthy. The antioxidants in it can help protect your skin.
- However, flavored and salted nuts can be full of sodium and can increase your risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke. Portion is highly important as well because too much nuts at once can cause digestive discomfort.
- Brazil nuts have a high amount of selenium, a mineral beneficial for many bodily functions. More than three being eaten a day can lead to fatigue and weakness.
