Things to consider about this recipe:

  • Oats are high in fiber, which can help you feel full longer, improve gut health, and aid in constipation. When combined with milk, overnight oats can be a source of protein, which is important for muscle repair and overall body function. Oats can help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and may help reduce the risk of heart disease. The soluble fiber in oats can help control blood sugar. Pumpkin is a great source of vitamin A, which is important for eye health. It also contains antioxidants that help neutralize free radicals in the body and may help delay the onset of disease.
    • However, overnight oats usually contain more calories than traditional oats, which is not ideal for individuals following a low-calorie diet or looking to cut back on calorie-rich foods.
